Field Notes

“Cat visited me with her camera just before I left this house for the last time, before moving to the other side of the world for some fresh winds and a new adventure. I’ve called London home for a number of years, but home is really, preferably, the open road. Even when I’m anchored somewhere, I gaze at maps, watch aeroplanes in the sky, surround myself with motifs of movement, such as these ceramic swallows and a hanging mobile of ships, and choose books to read that transport me elsewhere.”
